Seven years of togetherness! Thank you Lord!
Is anything too hard for the
Lord?
As I was reading the book of
Ezra (Bible), a Sunday school song came to my mind-“Is anything too hard for
the Lord”. And I started mumbling ‘Nothing Lord, nothing. Absolutely nothing’.
If we rewind seventy years before the events in the book of Ezra, we will
witness anguish of Jews who have lost all hopes. They see their king dethroned
and the people being exiled to Babylon. Over the period of seventy years they
were ruled by not only one but two different empires. Though I live in a
different era, yet I can relate to those Jews to some extent because I know
what it means to live without hope. Possibility of change seemed beyond hope. But
DELIVERANCE did come. In case of
Jews, God moved the hearts of secular rulers to help Jewish people return to
their homeland. But in my case it was the PERFECT LOVE of JESUS CHRIST for me
which took away all my fears and gave me hope. I
sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. He became
Lord of my life. Though these events unfolded over a decade ago yet it’s so
alive and fresh in me. Indeed as Proverbs 21:30 says “There is no wisdom, no insight, no
plan that can succeed against the LORD”.
Thank you Lord for your faithfulness. Psalm 68:6 says
God sets lonely into families. Thank you Lord for blessing me with a wonderful
husband. Help both of us to glorify your name.
